All settled in
It’s taken longer than anticipated (I’m chronically over ambitious with what I think I can achieve in any given time frame!), but I’m all settled in to the new workspace now and it feels pretty great. Loads of room to do what I need and the perfect space to enable Capstone Framing to go from strength to strength.
I was previously doing all my work from this one workbench in the forefront of the photo (joining, fitting, mount cutting, consultations, hand finishing - the lot!). That obviously meant I was being very inefficient with my time and constantly moving things around before I could start the next task. I’ve inherited some benches from Rupert at APG since he’s now retired and have dedicated benches for most different tasks.
My consultation room is nice and spacious, with room for more samples on the wall, a large plan chest, consultation bench, chairs, a rack for standard sized frames, and some lovely framed examples on the walls. Even a couple of houseplants to make the space feel more inviting (hopefully I can keep them alive!)
